Dear Dad,

A lot has happened since I last saw you. I'm the Senior Captain at WHOI now. We layed up the Atlantis II, and guess what, I've been assigned as the Captain of the all new Atlantis. What an honor and a privilege. You would be very proud. It's a big modern beautiful ship and we carry Alvin on board, just as before. I'm still the ping-pong champ and I can't wait to get back to Bridgewater and start hitting those golf balls around again. Nancy, Julie, and Kristine are doing great. Say hi to Mom for us. We really miss you. You're still my special hero.
